The process form initial booking for template to installation
Once cupboards have been completely installed by the cabinetmaker/joiner and the quote for benchtops is accepted, the following process occurs:
- Templating date is booked in by contacting our office.
- On templating day, sink(s), basin(s), hotplates(s) and tapware will be required by our site measurer to obtain a successful template. All templates created by Chesini House are digital and created by a special computer called a "Proliner" (see video).
- The digital file is programmed for cutting to size and is transmitted to our "Donatoni CNC saw" (see video) which will cut out the benchtops as measured.
- Each piece for the benchtop will then be edged to the exacting specification on a "Comandulli edge polisher" (see video).
- Sink and hotplate cutouts (and any other detailed work such as undermount sinks, drain grooves etc.) are then completed by our "Intermac Master 33 CNC" (see video).
- Each job is then assembled in our factory and our qualified craftsmen check the whole job over to ensure the quality meets our stringent guidelines.
- Each job is then packed onto A-frames. Once the benchtop is ready for dispatch, our office will contact you to book in an installation day.
- The timeframe from when a successful template is acquired to installation day typically takes 12-15 working days. This may vary depending on material availability, workload etc and is indicative only.
